The entire Process in Performance community
mourns the passing of Ruth Maleczech.
On April 23rd, 2012 Ruth came to share her stories and wisdom with our community at New York Theatre Workshop. The Workshop had been an artstic home for her for many years, and I couldn't have been more honored to interview her for our new portion of that community. We had a truly magical evening, followed by a few glasses of wine.
Ruth did not wish the interview to be recorded. While she was getting into a cab at the end of the evening she thanked me for honoring her wishes in that regard, saying,
"The people who were there were there, and those who were not were not."
